Shout out to the staff for being so courteous!!! I knew damn well arriving at 7:58 was too late to order but baby I couldn’t have went home without these wings and fries. They took my order without hesitation, and they already had 8 orders ahead of mine. Needless to say they kept that same positive energy when handing me my food at 8:39. Thank you again!
The food is absolutely delicious. In my opinion, best wings I've had since moving to Indy. I'm giving it 3 stars only because, every time I've ordered from here. Whatever time estimate they give you, you can go ahead and add 30 minutes, at least to that. I've been given time estimates of an hour, just to get there like a little over an hour later, just to have to sit inside of the restaurant for another 30 minutes. And I would have given it 4 stars despite that. But while you there, they keep telling you it's coming up, and you still end up waiting like 30 minutes.
Ordered online at 8pm on a Friday night. I noticed after I ordered the estimated ready time was after they close at 9pm, so I called them up and asked if they were still going to be able to get to my order ready. They were very friendly and assured me they were staying open until the orders are filled. I got there a little early. estimated ready time was 60-90 min. I did have to wait about 20 more minutes after I arrived, but it was ready in the timeframe I was given, and they were staying open to fill all their orders! Enough about the service, on to the Food.
I ordered 10 breaded wings with 2 sauces on the side (honey hot and mango habanero). I wanted to try them with just the breading to see how they were seasoned and it was some of the best fried chicken I've had. I would say it is Just as good as The Eagle downtown and that's saying a lot in my opinion. The sauce was great, and I had a side of blue cheese. The blue cheese was average in my opinion, but overall, it was definitely worth it. Quality takes time and they do not rush, but just be patient or plan ahead, trust me. I will be back and look forward to trying a few more things on the menu.
I’ve ate at the old restaurant she had maybe two times. The salmon Alfredo is my favorite. Today I decided to try chicken scratch and I got the wing combo, the sauce on the wings was very goood! But the wings were so fat and the skin was rubbery I would suggest the wings get cooked longer. The fries were really good.
Our family LOVES Chicken Scratch! We always order a big variety to share while we are all at work. Because I am working, I never get my food hot and it is still great! The attention to detail, the flavors, the consistency… You really should check out their food. It is so yummy!
