Spontaneous deliciousness.
We had the wine pairing with each course, which was nice. Although, all three pairings were a tad sweet for my taste. The appetizer and dessert were my favorite courses. A Spanish style salad and chocolate mousse inspired cake. The main course, lamb, was a tad chewy and too small for a dinner course, especially when considering time between courses. Overall, the three courses were not the most memorable meal I've had. But, I would go back again since the menu is different everyday and there is a cozy aura to the restaurant.
Best, most innovative place in town. If you do not want the set menu, then go next door to room 4. The portions are on the small side but after four or five courses, you will not want any more food. The chef had very high standards and every dish is done well. This place could compete with any restaurant in Chicago.
Excellent food and service. Appropriate portions for a fixed menu, multi-course meal. Price was low for the exceptional quality and attention to detail. I loved the salmon, strawberry bars and wine pairings. I felt like I was on vacation. PS...I am so tired of Indy people complaining about prices and portions. Prices are low here compared to other cities...of course, salaries are considerably lower as well and, as a result, it is not easy to find true fine dining. Thanks, Recess!
