Saw this place on Triple D, and it did not disappoint. Literally the best tamales I have ever had in my life. Perfect texture to the masa, and the filling was spicy and delicious. Tamales are you die for, but get there early, as it seems they run out quick! (We dropped by for a late lunch and they were running low on several offerings. Not sure if they have second batches ready for the dinner serving, or if they are just often out at that time.)

I've been coming here since I was pregnant with my son 7 years ago. The best food I've ever had and still to this day I will drive 1.5 hours from home to get some tamales. Definitely worth the wait and drive.

Damn good every time. The tacos are the secret star. The tamales are perfect. And, I don't even like tamales that much.... The tortilla chips are the best I've ever had.

Customer service is lacking. Older woman at the POS needs an attitude adjustment. Ordered 3 steak tacos that had no taste to them. For $3.75 a piece they should be amazing. I can go to little Mexico and get better tacos there. Not a fan.

I tried the Cuban Nachos, Beef Taco, chicken in red sauce tamale, and beef in red sauce tamale. The nachos and taco were both decent.
As somebody who has made and eaten probably thousands of tamales in their life, these were very disappointing. The tamales were very large. An ordinary tamale fits in a single husk, these were each wrapped in 4-5 husks. Tamales are usually made with shredded meat, these had cubed meat. The mass dough was very wet, like they're been left in the pot too long after steaming. Lastly the red sauce itself was fairly flavorless.
I'm mostly giving this place three stars because they're trying something different from the traditional Mexican American food. Even though I've had better tamales, it's unlikely most people have. So I appreciate the experience they offer.
