Iron Skillet is a classic family-style restaurant that just does it right every time! Whatever the occasion, Ron, the owner, makes sure his staff caters to taking the best care of their customers. You will not find many modern restaurants that leave you happy amd full like this one. The Waiting staff know their stuff and always make it a pleasurable experience. The food just seems to keep coming! Make sure you leave enough room in your stomach because one delicious course after another follows the next. Finishing with a make-it-yourself sundae is the icing on the cake here and leaves your sweet tooth nothing to be desired. I couldn't say enough good about this fine restaurant!
I love this place for many reasons! I think I like family style serving, the food is always fresh and hot, the onion soup is amazing, the servers are really nice and to top it off you get ice cream at the end!!! Reservations are required but I highly recommend The Iron skillet!!!
Love this place. Great dining experience and wonderful food. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating is the waitress disappeared a couple of times and left us wondering if she had forgotten about us. It wasn't even busy. However, the owner is super friendly and visits with the guests.
The ambience is lovely and we love the onion soup, the warm hand cloths and the sundaes!!
My friends and I go here two or three times a year. This restaurant is part of our tradition and it's great. Food is always great, staff is friendly, and the employees make sure your time spent in the restaurant is great.
It's a nice step back into the type of restaurant that was the staple of Indy decades ago. Great fried chicken, and the sides that came with it were wonderful. Place is showing it's age a little; but, hopefully it will keep people coming in and leaving happy.
