Avers is the bomb dot com with their specialty pizzas. I prefer the Cream and Crimson personally but recommend you check them all out!
Being that I'm from Chicago, I know what REAL pizza is. Aver's Pizza is by far the best pizza place in Bloomington Indiana.
Their gourmet pizza is delicious. I like the "Justafad"
Aver's does slices for lunch! Good luck finding that anywhere else in Bloomington that is worth going to.
Aver's Rocks!
I absolutely love aver's pizza. The staff here are friendly. They always make me feel welcome when I come in. I highly recommend aver's pizza. They have a lot to choose from. They have the normal basic pizza's. They also have a lot of gourmet pizzas to choose from. They also have a grab-and-go lunch slices. That happens Monday through Friday. However that's carryout only.
I drove back to Indy from New Mexico (a pizza desert) over the holidays and did a pizza tour. Obviously, Bloomington was 130 miles and 3 hours round trip out of my way, on a day that I really didn’t have the time. I would never travel the 2600 miles round trip and be within 500 miles of a cheese deluxe (substitute Alfredo for tomato) dipped in nacho cheese and not go there. If I had a fridge and oven in the car, I would have also gotten a cream-n-crimson and a just-a-fad for the road. Easily the best pizza in the country per my extensive travels.
First time in town. Great pizza! Breadsticks didn't disappoint. And take out time was a promised. If ever back here, we'll order again.
