Great beer and food! I just wish they had a pizza option somewhere between individual slices and 20 inch pies.

Staff is fantastic every time I come in. Their beer is great, but they also have a local section of other options. The new KD Pizza has awesome pizza, very reasonably priced. The best ambiance, family friendly, dog friendly (outside), and probably my favorite place in Bloomington!

Switchyard is a super fun place to work and relax! Whether it's a Friday night with live music or a morning during finals week, I always love the environment. The bottomless coffee is definitely a plus for students looking for a chill place to work!

The gluten free pizza at KD Slice Shop is incredible! The dough is made from scratch, in-house, and it's the best gluten free pizza I've found in Bloomington (or anywhere else)! While they can't guarantee it for individuals with Celiac, they do use a dedicated gluten free space and pizza cutter. Like most places, there is always some risk due to the shared kitchen, but I personally have not ever had issues here as a person with Celiac. I love coming here for some pizza and a drink while doing homework or hanging out.

Despite being a taproom, Switchyard is family friendly and fun for all ages! I enjoy bringing out of town guests here for games and drinks, and friends with dogs can hang out on the patio with their pups!

Switchyard is one of our favorite places to work in Bloomington. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place to hang out or get some work done!

I’ve been going to Switchyard since they first opened for various occasions. Pre-Covid, I liked to go for Tuesday night Trivia with a big group of friends. (Go Amateur Corn!) My office rented the space for our Christmas party; friends go to celebrate birthdays, etc. You name the occasion, Switchyard is a perfect local business to host your event.
I just recently went out for my first post-quarantine beer with some coworkers, and yet again this brewery was a fantastic choice. We sat outside on their patio and enjoyed a socially distanced beer, now with King Dough pizza! Do yourself a favor and try a slice of Stinky Pete or the Grape and Gorgonzola, 2 of my personal favorites back again! I’m so thrilled that these businesses have partnered up to serve our community. KD was my favorite pizza restaurant in town before they closed, and I’m so happy I can buy by the slice or get a full pie. My server was kind and funny, engaging and on top of our refills. They even have an app for ordering food and drinks from your table to limit customer/server contact. I Was very impressed with their solutions for keeping staff and visitors safe. I suggest ordering ahead of time, because they are very popular and the kitchen stayed super busy with pickup orders. We could see them from our patio seating, and they never seemed to slow their pace. I will be eating and imbibing here again in the future, and I absolutely suggest you do the same! Five stars!

I'm a recent arrival to Bloomington, and everything about Switchyard is great. From the food selection they serve, or the food trucks, to trivia. The atmosphere is always welcoming from the staff to the dogs that fellow patrons bring in. All of those things are elevated by the great selection of beer for every taste. Even their iced coffee and chia are great. I can't wait until everything calms down and I can come back, until then I am enjoying their delivery.
