Joella's Hot Chicken Bloomington

Some of the best flavored chicken wings around! I ordered the "Hot" level, which wasn't too hot for me, but had excellent flavor. Chicken was well cooked, and very juicy. Great stop for a better than fast food meal.

Too bad this nice place did not have more business when we came. I hope they pick up. Everything was VERY good. We got 1/2 white, tenders, mac n cheese, collards, green beans and mashed potatoes and everything was perfect. Greens were cold but other than that, great!

Solid hot chicken. It's pleasantly surprising when food from a chain restaurant makes my nose run. I got the actual "hot" level, and it was nice and spicy. Juicy and fresh too.

The chicken itself gets 4 stars, but the sides, drink selection, and dessert bring the overall rating down slightly. I'd give everything three and a half stars (a slightly above-average meal) if that were an option.

Only one diet soda offering (cola), which attempts to be interesting but only manages to come across as funny-tasting. Stock banana pudding (not bad, just stock). Parmesan fries had hardly any flavor. Also not a fan of the super-thin fries.

Decent decor and tastefully quiet music round out the experience. Not generally a fan of hot chicken, but I'd go back for this.
