The tempura pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious. The Benedict burger (Angus beef patty, ham, mushrooms, and egg on an English muffin with Hollandaise) was also delicious. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They source ingredients locally when possible.
It's a homey spot; the atmosphere was very casual. The view of the lake from the patio was very pretty. The service was outstanding. All these things combined to make for a very enjoyable dining experience.
Beautiful location. In summer a great patio.Food is delicious and unique..all natural. Restaurant is small but wait time is not long
I have been to this place twice now. It is a really neat restaurant on top of a hill with a great view of a prob of Monroe lake. The food definitely had a spin on it with things like crab Benedict. And they have a great liquor selection.
I've yet to have a bad experience at the Scenic View. Their mimosas/Bloody Mary's are simply delicious enough to keep them coming. Their food has always been on point with my expectations and desires. The view of Lake Monroe can be seen year round due to their patio seating in the summer and inside booth seating by large windows in the winter. They have a television at the bar, which is a full bar with limitless options, that generally has the latest sports on for people to watch while they eat. I would suggest the scenic view for anyone who is willing to drive the ten minutes out of downtown for quiality food/time.
3.5. Great, but service is slow and regularly the waitress or waiter will have to apologize for the wait... Like 45 minutes for food, but it's not really that busy during this time... 4 tables? The food is really great though, always spot on.
