“Booked Upland's event space for our wedding reception. The staff were absolutely wonderful, made sure everyone was happy with food and drinks the whole night, and even sent my husband and I home with leftovers and a bottle of wine they had packed away for us. We live in Washington, DC, so planning was less than easy for us on many things because we could not see places beforehand. However, Kelly Hogan made sure to send me tons of photos and even a floor plan showing different ways we could arrange tables in the space. She emailed back and forth with me a ton, and made planning from a distance as easy as it could be. They were also very accommodating of dietary needs - we have some family and friends who are vegan, I myself at the time was vegetarian, and they had dishes available for all dietary needs. They also let us bring in our own desserts, so we brought in cookies rather than a cake. They don't set up decorations, but it was easy to figure out a time where we could send people to set up for us. They were very flexible in helping us plan all the set up and tear down. They also gave us access to their speaker system so that we could play our own music, as we did not have a DJ. Finally, the food was great and every single person was professional and kind to us and our guests. An excellent experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable, casual wedding reception location.”

“Went to lunch here with some co-workers. Seating took a bit for it not being busy, but it wasn't a terribly long wait. Our orders were promptly taken by the nice waitress. Everything came out accurate. I got the lunch portion spicy chicken and it was absolutely fantastic. I got a 3 out of 4 on their spicy scale and it was not spicy at all really. It had a hint of red pepper spice to it, but nothing overly spicy. Chicken was cooked perfect and the rice was sticky (like I like it). Next time I'm in town, I'll try and stop by this place again. Very enjoyable and priced well.”

“This pizza hut seems fairly standard. The pizza was made pretty quickly and the service was good. I can't comment much on the interior of the building but from my short time inside it seemed serviceable. The aesthetics were not so great but this is not a restaurant that focuses on the dine-in experience so that is understandable. My main reason for giving the establishment a 3 star rating instead of 4 is because the toppings on my pepperoni and red onion pizza were sparse and the crust was a bit rubbery. The pizza itself tasted okay but it may have been a bit better with more toppings and a crispier texture.”

“Just went there for lunch. I had never been before, but a hot dog place sounded better than usual fast food. I got a Chicago dog and it was pretty tasty. It was freshly made and came with a good sized side of fries. The price was a bit high by my standards, but honestly it was probably about what I'd have paid at a chain fast food place. It was about $7.50 for the dog, fries and a drink. The service was great. The man running the register was very nice. He even picked up my tray for me when he saw I was done eating. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area for lunch.”

Rolls of paper towel on the tables and you can lick your fingers just like at any self-respecting bbq joint. I'm not a huge fan of the soft white sandwich buns because they get mushy with the sauce so I go bun-less. Best thing is it's half price on Monday for senior citizens. Yep, just one of the benefits of getting old.”

“I always have a great time at Cracker Barrel! The staff is super friendly, the selection in the store is beautiful, and the food is fantastic! The last time I ate there I got the Southern fried chicken. It's a lot to eat, but is so worth it! Even if I don't finish it, I take the rest home for lunch the next day. Everytime I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile and a warm hello! It makes me feel right at home! I especially love how kind everyone there is. They are super accommodating as well! If I ever have a special request, they try to fulfill it as much as possible! I can't wait to go back!”
