    This place is a hidden gem! Chef is better that you would expect, food is really good - something you would expect from Chicago restaurant. Do it! No regrets, five stars!

    The Bait Shop was fantastic. Look no further for some of the best food in NWI. Most ingredients are local, or farm-to-table, and they have a high end bar with a great wine selection. The menu is unique, changes daily, and is often filled with unfamiliar items. But, with a mind open to trying new things, I don't anyone would be disappointed with their meal. All our items were cooked to perfection. There is real talent in this kitchen. The enu always has a great selection of both vegetarian and traditional options. The building is small so reservations are recommended. Service and staff were incredibly kind and accommodating as well. Though the location is less than ideal, The Bait Shop is worth the trip north of town for a try. Highly recommended.

    The 2 times we've been here it has been fantastic. Such wonderful flavors in every meal. Only 6 items per night, as they don't have a freezer. My wife continually says he deserves a James beard award.
