    This is a fun drive in that I've had the pleasure to visit over the years. The root beer is fantastic. The food it typical drive in fare, and it's fun to still have this time of restaurant around.

    Love this place!!! It has been a family tradition for years! It was my Aunts 1st job many, MANY years ago. Then, it was my 1st job at 14. So far, it has been 2 out of my 3 daughters 1st jobs. Great customer service, AWESOME food and excellent homemade rootbeer made on location!!! Dont miss this stop if you are visiting from out of town!!

    The first couple of times were great! But the last time was right before they shutdown for the season and it did not taste good, almost like a cleaner taste. But I saw they just re opened and I'm going to give it a shot:)!

    Nothing fancy. Just love the idea. Fried pickle spears are delish. Good beef dogs.

    Like the seasons themselves, we welcome the spring and the opening of the Port; and lament the coming of winter and the long wait until spring again. The Port is a Chesterton classic, loved by locals, and a terrific piece of Americana. Root beer in frosty mugs, and fried pickles in their splendor, it's an experience that hearkens back to another time.
