I am Venezuelan. When my husband and I happened to be in South Bend, we saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I am often hesitate to eat Venezuelan cuisine outside of the home, bc it's often not authentic tasting. But, that was not the case here. The food was reasonably priced, authentic, and delicious. I was so thrilled! If we are in the area again, we will most certainly be returning.
Truthfully a gem of South Bend hidden in plain sight. The staff is kind the food is great. I hope to see them grow and expand and I look forward to seeing how the improve through the process
The food is very good. We had a group of 13 from all over the midwest. Everyone loved what they order and started they would come back if in town. Plus said they would recommend to their friends and family.
Driving through South Bend at supper time and needed to get off of the highway for awhile. My friend picked this restaurant off a list because it was different and she was tired of typical interstate fare. We waited at the restaurant while they prepared our food for takeout - and ended up chatting for 10-15 minutes with the owner. Not sure if that helped, but our dinner was hot, tasty and well packaged, with all the appropriate accoutrements for a picnic (flatware, napkins, etc).
Great food! We love to try new cultural food. This is as authentic as you can get in this area. I grew up in Brazil and this restaurant reminds me of Brazilian restaurants and food. This is going on our favorite list.
