I've eaten here three times -- wanted to give it a proper chance. Each time, the food has been mediocre. The house made beer is really solid, and the atmosphere is cool. Service is very good, as well. It's just a huge bummer the food is not that good. Would return for beer and appetizers
Absolutely fantastic food, bursting with flavor, and all of it was well crafted and executed. Delicious craft beer with varied tones and nuances. 10/10 will be going again.
An excellent meal, fantastic staff and amazing beer. My wife had the Scotch-ish Egg meal with Fried Potato Salad; simply simple and amazing. I have a thing for Reuben sandwiches and this was one of the best. Did I mention that this is a "scratch" kitchen, so everything is fresh and made on-site.
Now, the beer. I only saw their own beer listed and the reason is simple; why carry other brands when your own is so good! A very decent selection is available for a variety of palates. Bordering transcendent, my wife says.
I believe we will be back soon. I recommend The Heavenly Goat if you are in the area and are willing to pay for a quality experience.
Love the flights, 6 five ounce samples for $10 can't beat that, not a dog in the batch! Best of all, there is a brew map that pinpoints each brew according to where it falls in sweet to bitter and light to dark, fascinating and equally informative.
The food was surprisingly good, the menu is extensive for a brewpub, and the food didn't disappoint, I enjoyed the waffle schnitzel with fried capers, the wife enjoyed the Reuben with Brussels sprouts. Wish they would open one in Indy! I highly recommend this to any brew connoisseur! Rock on goat, baaaaa!!!
Most of the food items are locally grown. A lot of it is straight from a farm. Very nice to see a great local place continuing to support the local economy.
The food came out hot and delicious in good time. Charcuterie appetizer was fantastic. I had a burger (very tasty) and husband had the savory waffles with capers. Not my fave but good flavors. The waiter checked on us regularly and was very personable and detailed in explaining drinks/food.
