Fiddler's Hearth

Maybe my favorite South Bend restaurant. Was 100% blown away by the comforting space mixed with the style of food. I'm unsure if it was an Easter special, but the meal was buffet-style brunch, so a mix of breakfast and household favorites you'd expect from a grandparent.

The mashed potatoes might be the best mashed potatoes I've had in my life. Creamy and seasoned well, yet with the easiest of lumps. Great staff. And an amazing beer selection for the style of restaurant.

Get the fish and chips. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, just get it. You know it's done right when the fish is wrapped in newspaper. I don't know why, but it makes it taste better. Best fish and chips in Michiana, by far.

Others in my party had burgers and Scotch eggs. All were happy.

This is a great place for live music. It is quite popular on weekends and live music nights, so get there early.

Great atmosphere and beer selection.

Stopped in after the mayor Pete announcement. The staff were amazing in trying to accommodate so many drowned rat-like people.
The buffet looked delicious and the live music was great.

Walking in here was an experience. The food was fantastic, as was the live music. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Also, being one of the only bar/restaurants in town open after I get off at 9, is going to make this a regular spot for me.

I love this place! The food is tasty and they try to use local produce as much as possible. If offers a small pub atmosphere but with a great beer selection. You can be here with your family if you have small children and it offers live music over the weekend. Great place!
