We had a business lunch at Cafe Navarre, and everyone's food was excellent. Our table ordered the turkey sandwich, the roast beef sandwich, and the Navarre salad, with wild mushroom soup, sweet potato chips and seasoned fries as sides. Everything was delicious. Beyond the food, the restaurant beautifully fills a space that once was a bank. The architecture is beautiful and natural light in the space is lovely. We will be back.
Dinner after a disappointing Men’s ND game turned uplifting with wine start at the bar with Liz:) Dinner continued uphill swing starting with best cream of mushroom soup EVER! Then one of the restaurant week features, ending with chocolate raspberry torte. Yup, all wonderful and why we always return. This is definitely a 5 star restaurant. Fabulous food, service and ambience. If you're in South Bend, this is definitely a restaurant to put on your list.
Nice place, great menu and service. The pork chops and the walleye we're perfectly cooked. We Ubered over so I am not sure how much parking is nearby.
This is a relatively frequent date night choice when we want upscale in South Bend! Well prepared food with more flair than the usual midwestern fare. They have some local sources and some seasonal variation, and the manager is vigilant about checking with diners on meal preparation living up to expectations. Great attention to details on food allergies. The dessert is usually quite good. The window booths can be a bit drafty in really cold weather. However, the renovated bank space is a great for atmosphere. Sit away from the bar or upstairs if you want a quieter spot for dinner discussions. They have carnivore and vegetarian options both.
