Crooked Ewe Brewery & Ale House

To put it simple, this place ROCKS. Amazing food and the beer is even better. I had the Pork Belly burger and tried some of their brisket platter and it was all delicious. Their scotch brew they serve is my recommendation for beer.

So... they changed their menu. SUPER SAD because my fiance and I have been eating here 2-3 times a month for the last few years and ONLY get the same order. This last experience was horrible, 0 stars given based solely on my last visit. Our server (male, didn't catch his name he never said it) pretty much neglected us the WHOLE time. He gave a "sorry bout your luck" attitude when we asked if they had our menu items that we ordered each time. The new menu is nothing like the last, he offered no explanation of the menu and also didn't ask what we used to eat to recommend what may be similar. He took our initial drink and food order and that was it. We sat with empty beers and plates for about 10 minutes until We had to catch a different server in passing to get another beer order, and then again afterwards caught another one for the check. As a server myself, I understand certain circumstances arise to where he cant be prompt. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until we saw him on his phone once and then took a smoke break for another. I didn't expect a whole lot as we didn't go to a fine dining restaurant.. I'm giving 4 stars to rate the restaurant as a whole cause I am an understanding person, all our visits prior have been excellent. Really hoping you bring the favorites back and re-train that server. UPDATE: decided to go back because why not, we love this place. Server explained the new dishes to us, we chose the brisket. IT WAS AMAZING AND SERVICE WAS AS WELL.

Excellent food here. Everything I've had had been amazing. Everything on the menu looks delicious. Great flavor profiles. Really good beer.

This place was awesome! To start, great beer. I got a flight and it came with six samples which is always a plus. The server was very knowledgeable of the beer and food and did a phenomenal job. The menu is definitely out of the ordinary, but in a good way. Overall I would say this is one of the best hidden gems in the South Bend area!

Definitely 5 Star experience. I'd be more critical of the prices weren't so good. My choice tonight was the meat platter with potato salad and Brussels Sprouts sliced with slow cooked and still soft egg. Smoke is there names of the dish and the cost only $20 for the best, most tender 4 meats... Read their menu for the specifics.

Ask for Bex. 30yo PhD that loves the food so much she doesn't want to leave...I understand why after eating here. Tell her Derek from Japan recommended her.

Finished with a $5 dessert that would cost more anywhere else.
