Yatagarasu

Really great spot for an amazing bowl of ramen. Definitely not something I would expect to find in downtown Lafayette. The staff are beyond helpful and friendly. They normally have some sort of Japanese film or jpop playing on a projector with an amazing selection of broths to pick from. If you have a free moment for lunch you have to stop by.

Had the ramen and it was delicious. Appetizers were not the best. Great atmosphere as well. Prepare to wait especially on weekends.

Delicious Authentic Japanese. Absolutely amazing food! I went here with a few friends and the service was fantastic. The flavor was bold, but not overpowering, and the plating and service was phenomenal. New favorite restaurant!

Have been here more than a dozen times and it keeps me coming back. I’ve also brought many friends with me and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed it as well. My favorite restaurant in Lafayette by far. Very approachable menu, satisfyingly priced entrees and appetizers, fast and attentive servers, and delicious food every time. Thanks for opening up!

It's hard to find authentic Japanese food in the US, but this place is the real deal. Everything was delicious and reminded me of visiting Japan. The takoyaki in particular felt spot-on as if I was actually getting it from a street vendor. Nice selection of sake as well.
