If you love Mediterranean cuisine, this is THE BEST place to go in Lafayette! Amer and his staff were so warm and welcoming....they truly make you feel at home. Amer's buffet gave the perfect choice of all his signature dishes...and they were all mouth watering! And believe me, I tried them all! I am Croatian and I was brought up on cuisine like this! And I can honestly say, this was some of the best Mediterranean cuisine I have ever eaten! Even the music made me feel like I was back on the streets of Marrakesh. If you truly want a great meal that you'll want to come back for again and again, Amer Grill is the place to go!.....Ken Prieboy
We recently contacted Amer about catering for an event and he was really helpful with deciding the menu and easy to work with. The food was really tasty and we had a lot of options for our vegan and vegetarian attendees. He went above and beyond with the service and also procured some additional serving utensils and such that we had requested on short notice. Delivery was also prompt.
I have also been to the restaurant for dinner before and had a really good experience. The portion sizes were huge for the main dish so if you're complaining about paying $15 bucks for an entree you'll usually get your money's worth. As a group we ended up mainly eating a lot of mezze and sharing entrees so the meal ended up being not so expensive. Only complaint is that the food sometimes feels a little dry and I wish they had more sauces.
The food was SO good! I liked everything I tried from the buffet! Really really happy with my dinner tonight! It was clean, friendly staff, and like I said, the food was awesome!
The rice was amazing. I might have gone a bit too much outside of my comfort zone with the lamb kabob however. The spices were too overpowering for my palate, I probably would have been better with the beef or chicken. Overall a very nice place. Reminds me of Bombay/Sharma's Kitchen but with Mediterranean dishes instead. Anyone looking for a something different than all the chain restaurants should try it out.
I like Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern cuisine a lot but we don't have many choices here in the Greater Lafayette. I am glad that finally there is a good one opened here! I came here several times already since they opened, and I really enjoy their food and service every single time. At the beginning when they just started, the service was bit slow but I understand they need some time to get familiar with everything. Now the service is very good and I feel hospitality everytime. Need not to mention about the food is always well prepared and fresh with passion! They just started buffet on Sundays and Wednesdays and I highly recommend that. The food standard remains as good as regular time, and the salad and dessert are so good and so fresh that I don't see sad, soaked in water salad as in other buffet service!
