Slim Chickens

Today's visit, was the first time, stopping by Slim Chickens. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and employee's were very professional. I'll stop again. I'll have to try out the chicken & waffles, they look good. The cayenne ranch chicken is what I tried out, very delicious.

Was not very impressed by the food. Chicken and waffles had very little syrup on it, and it was just very dry. Chicken was moist and had good, crispy breading. Not mind-boggling. Fries were the best part. They had good seasoning. Wanna try their jar shakes, but don't know when I'll be back. Good alternative to Chick-fil-A on a Sunday. I will say that the service was extremely friendly and quick despite how insanely busy it was. Good hiring.

This is a great new fried chicken place in town.

We came on opening day and they were packed. They still seemed to have it mostly together, though, and were taking orders and getting food out in a reasonable time. We ordered all of their sandwiches and wraps, along with some tenders and a ton of sauce.

The food here is really good and the prices are reasonable. All of the items center around fried chicken, as you would expect. The real differentiator here is the sauces they have. We tried most of the unique ones and found that the Korean BBQ, Garlic Parmesan, and Slim Sauce are our favorites.

The only ding was that they forgot an entire sandwich on our order. I'm sure it was chaos that day, so I'm sure they'll get better as things settle down.

Even though the place is small, its food is super good. I liked the wings the best. It’s hard for me to find a good wings place in Lafayette and this place comes really close to it. The chicken and waffles looks so good and will probably try it on my next time.
