“Used to be one of the best places in town to get a burger and ice cream, both teams of food quality and atmosphere (50's-style diner) Quality of food and service has definitely gone down over the past few years and the place is starting to feel a bit run down and shabby compared to how it used to be maintained - floors are always sticky and carpets dirty and dingy. Doesn't look like anything has been updated in 20+ years. Still go back for the nostalgia factor, but each I'm reminded of how much better it used to be.”

“This is a great little family run pizza shop on a side of town where there are few restaurants. It is right next to Wolf's BBQ which has been there for many years. I've never eaten in at highland pizza shop but I get takeout all the time because the sandwiches are very good and well priced for a takeout dinner. Sometimes at the counter they will have bones from a cow or a pig maybe I don't know to purchase for as a chew toy for your dog for only like a dollar each. My dogs love these things. The thin crust Pizza is our favorite and in the sandwiches the stromboli is the best on the north side.”

The staff have always been prompt and very friendly. The good is traditional BBQ style foods and are pretty solid. Anytime a dish ran low, they were quick to replenish. “I was looking for something a little different on the north side of Evansville. They came up in my search with really good reviews. When you walk in, you will forget that you are in southern Indiana. Everything about this restaurant is authentic small town Japan. I have eaten there twice now. Just doing the Miso soup and a simple roll each time (Spicy tuna and crunchy spicy tuna). They were both excellent and the service is great and the pricing reasonable.”
