Catfish Willy's Seafood & Crab Shack

I loved this place. It has a unique atmosphere for this area. You walk in and it doesn't feel like you're in Evansville anymore. We got a boil and it was to die for, so fresh and delicious. The staff was friends and helpful. I will certainly be going back.

Excellent service. Good value for the serving size. The only suggestion is change the term Jumbo shrimp to large as they are not Jumbo sized shrimp if one has eaten in Florida or the Carolina's. The crab stuffed Talapia was excellent.

We arrived and was seated promptly. Service was nice the waitress was good and explained how to order and the prices as well since some change daily like the price of crab for the boils. She answered any questions that we had throughly. The place was clean along with the bathroom. Refills happened frequently without even us having to ask. Now the food.
The gator fries were good. Decent amount of gator meat was on top. It was pretty tasty and you go a big portion to share.
The boil was great my daughter really liked her snow crab. Nice and tender and she liked the spice she picked.
The crab cakes were tasty but hardly any crab in them unfortunately. A LOT of breading sadly. But at least the breading was well seasoned. Was one of the better seasoned crab cakes I've had.
Be aware this place does get expensive due to the fresh seafood prices changing daily which is expected.

Really enjoyed eating here! The hostess was lovely and welcoming. The decor is really nice- it's dark and the walls are deep turquoise so with all the fish hanging from the ceiling it feels like you are underwater. The food was fresh and tasty- I had the coconut shrimp with fried squash. The fries taste like they had been frozen, but the hush puppies were quite tasty.

Enjoyed the relaxed, fun atmosphere. The service was prompt even though there were signs in a few places asking us to be patient for the freshly prepared seafood. Really enjoyed the shrimp and crab dip appetizer. We ordered 3 meals and 2 of them were delicious and perfect- the hand breaded shrimp dinner and the seafood platter. The second seafood platter came to the table with all of the items overcooked except for the clams. I think it was a fluke. The tables around us enjoying the boils looked very happy as well. Well worth a try!
