Western Ribeye & Ribs

Perfect place for my husband of 31 years and I to come. He tells me I need to lose weight so I go to the salad bar (not that all the toppings help...and the bread!!) and he gorges himself with steak. 5 Stars!

Nice steaks and a wonderful salad bar. We went on Mother's day so there were a lot of people there. They did a great job serving such a big crowd. Get your reservation early for special occasions.

I love the salad bar. I ordered a 8oz rib eye for $22. It was very over seasoned. My fiance ordered the New York strip for $27. He said his was very tender and good. Casual dress.

I had the breaded fish sandwich on special today. The fish was excellent, and the tater sauce was ok. I ate the fries without ketchup, and they were good, but the coleslaw was was much too creamy/juicy and heavy tasting. If I hadn't gotten the salad bar, I don't think I would have been satisfied.

The salad bar was nice and fresh, but calling it "legendary" seemed a stretch. I appreciated the herring fillets (never seen this on a salad bar before) and the big block of cheddar, but the only other proteins were diced ham, diced hard boiled eggs, and cottage cheese. There was something that might have been bacon, but I wasn't sure so I passed over it. For the price, I'd like more - maybe some chick peas or other legumes, and some other lettuce varieties at least. Also, I usually skip dressings in favor of oil and vinegar, but I didn't see them.

There were a few other things worth mentioning. After taking our order, our server said she'd be right back with some warm bread. Maybe she misspoke, but no bread or explanation ever came. At one point, she said she'd be right back with our sandwiches. A few minutes later I made another trip to the salad bar, returned, finished the entire plate, and still had to wait another 5-10 minutes before our sandwiches came out. Then, one of the sandwiches was given to the wrong person and he almost started eating before the error was caught, and one burger was completely the wrong one.

My sandwich was really good, and I'd consider coming back to try a steak or prime rib, but I can't give a great rating based on this visit.
