Smitty's Italian Steakhouse

Loved this place!!! Was our first time and we will definitely be back. Food was great and reasonably priced. Moscow Mules are delisious and so are the dirty martinis! Great service and everyone was friendly. We had a party of 9 and it went flawlessly.

Smitty's Italian Steakhouse is always a good restaurant choice. A variety of food choices available with Italian being a specialty. Full bar and wine list available. There is a large outdoor patio seating area which is fun during the warmer months. The bldg is old and interesting on the west side of Evansville.

I've been to Smitty's multiple times, and the food and service is really excellent! I love the sausage with peppers, and the ranch burger is one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. I would give 5 stars, but their fries are always soggy and just don't meet the quality I would expect from them. I appreciate that they serve Truly spiked seltzer. It's rare to find that alcohol selection at restaurants.

The food was good probably 4 out of 5 stars. The service was terrible. One out of 5 stars. The price was 3 out of 5 stars. Over all the place seemed clean. But the table they set us at had spaghetti thrown on the floor . They never offered to clean it up, We actually asked to be moved because of the mess on the floor. It was a 25 minute wait to get in because there was only 2 of Us. I expect a wait time to get in if a place is good. But it took the waitress another 20 minutes just to take our drink order and then another 20 minutes after that to take our food order. On the positive side from the time we ordered till the time we got our food was indeed quickly maybe 7 minutes. Not sure if I will go back, I very seldom go back to a place I was not happy with the Service .
