Tres Reynas Latin Cuisine

We came for breakfast and wanted to return for lunch and dinner because it was so delicious! We each ordered an omelet, beans and plantains. Order a michelada. You will not be disappointed.

Great place! Has authentic Mexican as well as sandwiches, et al They also serve breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Friendly service from the owners. Small, quaint location downtown on Main St., just a block south of the Lloyd Expressway (SR 66). Breakfast was excellent and more than enough. Had a slow cooked beef dish for dinner that was inspired by their Grandma.

Was in Evansville for the day and found this place from an online search. The food was so good! I ordered the Pork In Salsa Verde (#40 on their menu) and I would for sure get it again. They also serve breakfast and I had my eye on the Tres Reynas Skillet (#15 on their menu). The owners are very helpful in looking over their menu with you. This is not a typical Mexican restaurant, but a mix of Latin and American, Latin Caribbean, Cuban, Costa Rican and similar style offerings. Although they do serve familiar Mexican dishes that everybody will recognize, this place offers a lot more and unusual dishes you are unlikely to find elsewhere. Not only was the food excellent but just chatting with the owner who served us was an interesting cultural experience. This place even has a bottled beer from Colombia. I will most definitely make a point to go back here next time I am in Evansville, maybe for breakfast next time. Plenty of parking too and an easy in and out.

Had the street tacos (3 was the right serving size) and they were good. I like adding my own red or green sauce. The steak with red sauce got spicy. The flam was a good dessert too. I split it b/c it would have been too much for one person. That's a good thing though. Desserts should be like that.

The building and seating are a little unconventional. Beyond that and more importantly, the food and service were outstanding. We are certainly going back. Went with a group of 7, each getting something different and not a negative word was said by anyone. Personally, I had the Cuban sandwich and it was excellent.
