Wow! Amazing food! Had their Lobster Bisque and it may have been the best ever! Service was excellent and nice atmosphere. Also sweet potato casserole was incredible!!
Many of my friends tell me that Stables is the best steakhouse in Terre Haute, but this is simply false. J. Fords is unparalleled in the quality of their cuts, preparation, and general ambience. All of their waiters are kind and professional, their dishes that aren't steak are just as good as the steak, and the timing between courses was just right.
If you haven't heard of or been to J. Fords, you truly are missing out. It is by far my favorite place to go with friends to celebrate a special occasion and make it memorable.
That can easily accommodate bigger groups and the noise level was just fine, they have several rooms separated by doors to block out noisy people.
Great experienc, delicious food. The beautiful hostess Kelly even patched my girlfriend up where her shoe had rubbed her heel raw. Chris behind the bar did a superb job as well. You get what you pay for ????????
I love J Ford's. I went early tonight with it being Valentine's day. The food was perfect and I always love the beet salad, the entire meal was good even the Pepsi with grenadine. The Hummingbird cake is really good, I bring mine home to enjoy. And this year I was given an ice scraper as I headed out the door.Last but not least the waitress did a really good job.
I've never had anything less than an excellent experience. First and foremost, the food is incredible. Combine the excellence in the culinary arts with the charming atmosphere and impeccable service, and you have the makings of a fantastic overall dining experience. Tip from a local: don't be afraid to try a special or explore the menu. You won't be disappointed.
