If you're in Richmond then this is a solid choice and better than the chain restaurants you'll get in the area. However comparing this to other Italian restaurants this falls short. This is not an authentic feeling Italian restaurant and is very Americanized. However if you need a good date restaurant in the area then this is a solid choice and has a cozy intimate atmosphere. However the food probably won't blow you away but won't be offense either. This is a very middle of the road restaurant that is average in taste and quality.
A large and palatial stand alone restaurant with bar. The menu is comprehensivily Italian, offering everything you would expect. We experienced good and fast service.
You're served complementary bread with an olive oil side once seated. I ordered the lasagna which came as large size, maybe four by six inches. Four layers of pasta I believe. It was as expected but not outstanding. My companions, while I don't remember what they ordered were satisfied as well.
Prices were moderate and service was attentive.
Wonderful service, food was fantastic. Visit here one a year for the Ft. St.Clair dog show. They are always kind and gracious when we arrive. Its always prom week and we enjoy watching the girls in their gowns and guys in their tux.
Excellent food and service. Daily specials as well as regular menu. Variety of Italian food, including various meats, vegetarian, and pizza. Many prepared on site. Sauces very well seasoned and full of flavor. Only negatives are loudness of area (needs more softness to absorb sounds) and overly large portions (plan on taking some home for another meal).
Excellent! The food served at Galo's is excellent. My favorite is the chicken alfredo and my wife loves the lobster bisque. Ive enjoyed the gnocchi, cheese tortellini, and shared a couple slices of the pizza with my son.
The bread is fantastic and you have to try the Italian Cream Sodas. The staff is always friendly and they treat our son very well.
We drive about 30 minutes to get to Galo's, and it is worth every minute.
