Whistle Stop Restaurant and Monon Connection Museum

Has to be one of the best maintained railroad museum that we have visited in our travels around the US! Beautifully displayed and the docents have a great understanding of the history of these items. The fact that this is a private collection is amazing! To find someone who would take the time and funds to ensure that items from America’s past are preserved all we can say is WOW! If you find yourself near Kokomo, IN take the time to visit you won’t be disappointed.

Must see! Unique and fascinating. A restaurant and museum with static train displays all around.
The restaurant is nice and has a nice selection with daily specials. Enjoyed the portabella mushroom fries and the fried green beans. The museum is in the same building and has a collection of thousands of train related items, train car dining sets, pocket watches, lanterns and much more.

Great restaurant and museum! We took our 2 year old son here for his birthday. Food was great and really enjoyed the ice cream that came with each meal. The museum was fun and Mark gave us a great tour. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. The kids really enjoyed looking at all of the cars on the outside especially the caboose that you can get in.

Their burgers are great! They are always juicy, tender and tasty. Some of their specials are unique enough to warrant a curious wanderer. If they happen to offer the Rueben burger, do yourself the favor of trying it. It's outstanding!! ????
