Patriot Wings: CAVU- American Kitchen & Cocktail Lounge

The food was good and artistic. However, I had the pleasure of sitting in front of the kitchen window where I watched one of the cooks eat a full meal while preparing food, one kitchen person blow and pick his nose in the bar area and return to the kitchen without washing his hands. Not to mention that one of the chefs was wearing a tank top, which is against the food code.

FABULOUS place! Food is good and out of the ordinary... staff is exceptional and fun watching small planes fly to and from the airport.

Stopped while we were travelling and wanted to pick something different than fast food. Picked the first thing google suggested. Should've looked closer because it's attached to a municipal airport lol. Don't let that deter you though! There's a limited food selection but the wings were awesome and the sandwiches are quick and filling! Amazing service and the staff is very social and approachable. Able to see two flights land which was worth the stop itself.

Mom and I stopped in yesterday after my flight arrived, not knowing this was recently taken over by the owners of Bread and Buttercreme. It's a really delightful and unexpected addition to the airport! I think it will bring in folks who are seeking a fun date night spot as well as those sending off a loved one. I like how they incorporated the flight themes of the previous Patriot Wings with the upscale touches of B&B. It is upscale--the food was divine; the sandwiches are large enough to split; I might suggest adding a kids' menu since we saw quite a few there, as well as a few lower-priced options to appeal to the budget-minded travelers passing through as well.
