Awesome food. Small town atmosphere and great service to match. You won't find better ribs!!

The food was delicious. Check out the smoke ring on that brisket! Every bit of my plate was absolutely delicious. The bar is narrow, but opens in the back with numerous seating options available.

The staff were friendly and attentive to my dining needs. I do not know how the bathrooms looked as I didn’t use them.

If you want cold drinks and EXCELLENT barbecue, this is the place!

Some of the best barbecue you can find in Iowa. PERIOD. Not to mention, the owner and the staff are all super friendly. The ribs are done to perfection- EXCELLENT crust with a nice mesquite rub. Served with a tangy, semi-spicy bbq sauce. This phenomenal rub is also used in the beans. I highly recommend the ribs, beans and Mac n cheese. Although, I can’t imagine that anything on the menu is less than 5 stars.

Delicious! What more can I say? Great small town Iowa atmosphere. The brisket was wonderfully tender and the pulled chicken and pulled pork were amazing. Great sauces to go with it all, too. Thanks, Shelby's!

This place has some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten. The ribs are the best you have ever had in your life. They are so tender, the meat literally falls off the bone. Everything here is delicious! The collard greens are the best, but you have to get there early enough, or they are all gone! The cornbread is delicious, the fried okra is fantastic, and let me tell you about the mac & cheese. If you think you've had mac & cheese, you have no idea. The desserts are well worth everything.
