Kue'd Smokehouse

One of the best bbq places I’ve ever been to. Great burnt ends, cheesy potato casserole and the cornbread is about the best I’ve ever had. I go each time I’m in town.

The smoked meat was highly recommended, so we stopped by last night. As we were told, the smoked ribs, brisket, burnt ends and chicken were all delicious - all cooked well, tender and flavorful. There are plenty of good meat and side options (see pictures).

I had the 2 Meat Plate (see picture) with brisket, chopped chicken, corn bread and street cream corn. Loved the meat and the Carolina sauce, the corn bread was good and I especially enjoyed the street cream corn - although it surprised me a bit that it was served cold rather than hot.

You order at the counter and then have a seat or wait to take it out with you. I was surprised at how busy they were for take out and maybe that was due to the plastic eating utensils that you get for dining in at a table - which the primary reason I didn't give 5 stars. If you are out for some very good smoked meat, don't mind plastic forks and knives or plan to take it home with you...this place is definitely worth stopping to try!

When you go to Kue'd, be prepared to be blown away! 1 of the most talented Culinary minds in IOWA can be found here! Yes, they know how to smoke some meats, but the culinary Genius comes in the side dishes! The combinations and layers of flavor are truly mind blowing! And then if you have a chance to talk to them about there creations, the passion and love is so evident you can hardly wait to try what they are dishing. In most case's, chewing takes too long! Keep up the masterful work you do and Thank you for sharing!

Absolutely amazing place to eat. The brisket is great!

Yum!! We got 2 meats, 2 sides. The pulled pork and brisket was delicious and nice helping of baked beans and potato salad. A little disappointed in slice of white bread included. Should include a couple hard rolls or garlic bread maybe. Otherwise a low cost, delicious meal, for two! They delivered to our car too!! Definitely will go back!!
