I recently dined at Guesthouse Tavern + Oyster on a Friday night, and it was an exceptional experience. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance inviting. I had the Guesthouse Old Fashioned, and my wife enjoyed the Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc. We started with the jumbo shrimp cocktail and Lake Superior smoked white fish. The wedge salad was fresh and flavorful. For mains, I had the trout almandine, and my wife had the fried walleye fish sandwich. We ended with a Grasshopper cocktail. Overall, an outstanding dining experience. Highly recommended!

We went straight to the bar and had a wonderful evening of fancy cocktails. We ordered the perogies as a snack, and they were amazing! The bartender was a master of engaging with customers while not missing a beat at mixing drinks. I loved the atmosphere and did not find it loud on a Tuesday evening when there were plenty of customers. The wood walls and decor gave a nice ambiance. I wouldn't hesitate to return!

Started with the beet salad, fresh and as expected. Pork shank was amazing in a light miso sauce, not overpowering. Shrimps were well stuffed, but shrimp had no shrimp flavor to speak of. Potato side dish was hot and comforting. Cauliflower bake was very flavorful. They do allow corkage and its $16 which seems high, but a better choice as the wine selections were almost non-existent. Atmosphere is typical retro supper club/bar style. Casual dress. Servers and manager Daniel were great!

I really had no idea what to expect! The menu was reasonably priced with burger, steak, app options as well as the specialty oyster options. We decided to share apps and try the Wisconsin old fashioned that comes with a fun pull tab. The drink was refreshing, the ceviche was fresh and flavorful, the hot dish was fantastic! The atmosphere after dark felt so cozy. I would definitely go back to hang out and try other food options too!

Phenomenal food and service. We enjoyed the raw oyster selection along with the charbroiled oysters. Although a bit pricey, they were all very good and a nice presentation. For entrees, we ordered the beef stroganoff, and the pork shank, both of which were fantastic. Desserts we tried were the key lime pie cup and the smore brownie, again both phenomenal. Cocktails were all tasty as well. We definitely look forward to returning and trying more of the menu!
