Spare Time Des Moines

We went on a Tuesday around 5pm, which ended up being a good time for families with children. The staff was fantastic, Lily and Alecia greeted us and helped us find our party. Hannah was our server and was very friendly and attentive. Bobby came out and checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food was really good, and not a very long wait. My husband and daughter had a blast in the arcade. They really liked the VR King Kong game. My daughter left her coat in the restaurant and they came and found us to make sure we got it. Our family would recommend going, and we will definitely be back! (Plus, the bathrooms were incredibly clean as was the entire facility, which is important to me!)

Arcade was fun, if a bit pricey. Couldn't get food as the restaurant didn't open until evening.

The real disaster here is the bowling. Plastic lanes with no grip, way overpriced by the 1/2 hour pricing, and pins suspended on strings, make for a very bad experience for avid bowlers. Might be okay for kids/extreme casual bowlers, but regular bowlers should avoid. It's bad.

Fun atmosphere, neat arcade, missing food, awful bowling.

The place is really cool and set up in a neat way. Arcade had a good variety of games and pretty typical pricing. I didn't personally do laser tag or the escape rooms but they both looked like a lot of fun. I would not recommend the bowling though, it was a major letdown for me and some friends that came to check it out. It was very pricey, $40 bucks an hour for a lane, and it's stringpin bowling. I do bowl a little more competitively so I was excited to see some new lanes show up on this side of town as we don't have many places I care to go to. With this style of pins though it's just novelty throwing. No actual leagues will be available and there's no oil on the lane. I had many many frames that the strings interfered. Overall, it's a very nice facility, just not for bowlers.
