I can't say enough about this restaurant. My friends from Honduras took me here for my 60th birthday. I was visiting from Seattle Washington. Okay I don't know where to begin, I have the calamari appetizers. My friends had never had calamari and they loved it. For dinner I had the calamari dinner with marinara pasta. Excellent !!!
There was enough calamari pasta leftover that I ate it for lunch and dinner the next two days. We had a chocolate cake with Fontaine they called it and it was wonderful. My friends from Honduras love Hawaiian pizza with Canadian bacon or some type of meat on it. So naturally they had to order that from La Tavola. They loved it, they would have eaten two of them if they could have.
Portions are large. Last but not least the service is Five Star Plus. Very friendly staff. Clean establishment. Ambience is lovely. I will be back when I return to Mount Pleasant.
Home to the best Tiramisu I've ever tasted! Rich, creamy and generous. We shared the stuffed shells with ricotta after starting with garlic knots and mozzarella sticks for the table. La Tavola has such a cozy atmosphere and remarkable portion sizes. You can't go wrong dining here!
Wandered in the other evening after seeing reviews on the Internet. Didn't realize we'd need reservations, but the server was very gracious and found us a table. We had a wonderful pizza. The service was top-notch and the atmosphere was great. No wonder it's such a popular place!
La Tavola is my favorite place to eat! My wife and I love to go here for spectacular service, reasonable prices, excellent food, and a great atmosphere. We love that it is a nice restaurant, but not too fancy. We go there as often as we can. I love it so much that I even took my wife here right before I proposed. This is by far the best place to eat in Southeast Iowa.
Small, Intimate setting. Reminds me of Italy. Menu items are as close to authentic Italian as you will find. Fantastic wine list. Reservations are not needed, better be there at 5PM when they open thou, but are advised. The Chicken Marsala and the Flounder are two favorites. The service is Exceptional!
