Great food, excellent service and affordable. The food was delicious and familiar to dishes I had from back home in Chicago. Definitely will be returning.

Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and good god this is going to be a repeat order, it was absolutely amazing! The peach baked beans taste close enough to my grandma's recipe that I'm going to get them every time I feel nostalgic. Can't recommend enough!

Excellent BBQ restaurant! Ribs were don't perfectly. Not fall of the bone, but once you reached the bone, the meat came off cleanly. Great smoke flavor. Exactly the type of place that we needed after a long day at work. Owner treated us really well. Highly recommend.

I just recently moved to Iowa from the southeast where BBQ is king, so when my coworkers insisted I check out Boaz, I wasn't sure it was going to live up to the hype.

It did. It absolutely did. I was stunned by how good everything tasted. The ribs were excellent - lots of flavor without being overly smoky. The peach baked beans - which I thought sounded a little gross when I first heard it - were incredible, and I don't usually like baked beans. The mac and cheese had a fantastic baked crust on top just like mom used to make. Finally, I had the peach wrap, which I would describe as one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. It was "lick the plate clean" good.

It's not just the food. The owner is very welcoming and incredibly generous. If he makes a mistake, he makes it right and then some. Clearly he values repeat business and I can guarantee you he's getting it from me.

I love this place!

We had the pork and brisket sandwiches and they were delicious. Franny, the owner was very pleasant to visit with and she provided us with excellent service. Wear your stretchy pants, the portions are good size. We’ll definitely go back again to try the ribs and chicken.
