Dairy Queen

Wow this place actually has Twin Cronies, like the original DQ. A Twin Cronie and a Cherry Dilly Bar completed my day.

I hate the town of Oelwein, Iowa with an undying passion, but I will say one good thing about them: they have the best Dairy Queen on Earth. Here's some history on why they are by far the very best Dairy Queen you'll ever go to: Dairy Queen in Oelwein originally started on the other side of town, not too far from Luigi's Restaurant. Then they closed down and opened up under different ownership. The owner wanted better business though, so they relocated, and built a better building right next to the main highway going through Oelwein, Iowa. What's so special about this Dairy Queen? They're the ONLY Dairy Queen that still has Twin Cronies (an original Dairy Queen food) which means that they are the only Dairy Queen, in existence, to stick to the tradition of the original Dairy Queen. What is a Twin Cronie, you ask. It is a hot dog on a hot dog bun with spiced ground beef and your choice of dill, sweet relish, mustard, or ketchup. Highly recommended.

My husband, granddaughter and myself tried the new Brownie Dough Blizzard today. We each got a medium but really should have went with small. DELICIOUS but so filling. I highly recommend it. But they were not upside down!!
