Charming local restaurant tucked in a valley with a view of a river, pond, and a waterfall! We were visiting from out of state and went with relatives. The food was delicious and the service exceeded our expectations.
Lovely place and beautiful outdoor tables, with a fish, shrim9and chicken restaurant.
Make sure to go in the day light.
Lots of gravel road.
Very close to Makaquotta caves park which is very beautiful to visit.
Nice out of the way place to eat. Great food and service. Very nice inside and out. Enjoy the outside area if you have to wait. Even a waterfall.
What a hidden gem! Made it up on a Sunday in time for the delicious Chicken and Shrimp special. My daughter ordered the Catfish : 3 huge fillets. Unbelievable meal. Worth the trip every time.
This restaurant is almost literally a Midwestern Oasis! You drive for miles in the middle of nowhere surrounded by farms, corn and maybe some bean fields. The entire drive I was thinking this place is going to be a dump! No way these people can be making $$ but you make your last curve and there the place is, an oasis! Hadn't seen a single soul driving there, no traffic coming my way either, but there in the parking lot was a full array of customer vehicles! The lot was nearly full!
You walk in and the staff is super friendly! The food was excellent and if you order the special it's on your table within minutes! The waitress was completely attentive and kept checking to see if we needed anything!
The place was clean and the view as you eat? A nice waterfall outside that strangely had a calming effect on me (mind you we just came from the Maquokeda Caves and that's a nice hike!) so I can honestly say I'd give the place the max stars just for the environment alone!
A perfect place to eat after a day of hiking or anything else! Kudos to the owners for creating this Midwest Oasis! (That reminds me- don't forget to read the BACK of the menu- it tells a nice story of how it all came to be!)
