Hamburg Inn No. 2 East Side

The waitress was really nice and pleasent. For being basic eggs and hashbrowns and french toast it wasnt the worst ive had. That being said. The guy running the place was very offsetting. He freaked out over a menu item on his sign and ripped it off the wall and was clearly angry and overreacting. Then he left the kitchen with orders in to do an interview in the middle of lunch time. My food sat in the window for 10 mins waiting for i dont know what and didnt come out untill his interview finished and he went back to the kitchen. Like i said its breakfast food and thats hard to mess up but the atmosphere because of the guy makes me not want to go back.

Great hamburgers and breakfast! Definitely coming back to eat if I am in Iowa City again. Folks are lucky to have this spot for it's taste and fairly priced food.

Always a great inlet and bottomless coffee. Love breakfast here. Plus the ambiance fifties, friendly, and cozy. Iowa at it's best.

Simple sweet restaurant with amazing fresh food! I was delighted by my omelette and french toast. Hubby devoured his Mexican inspired Omelette. Our waiter was great and it was a whole new experience hearing them be polite to each other in the back! So glad we found this place!!!

I don't want to tell everyone this, but this location is my favorite restaurant in Iowa City. It seriously is delicious. The service is impeccable and if it is slow, ask the chef to make you something off the cuff. High recommend! Easy, fast, fresh, and gluten free friendly. Plus, everyone gets what they want.
