Tin Roost

We were there for a presentation in a meeting room. I have to say the Tin Roof staff made available to provide drinks and food orders were very attentive. Loved the food! I had mac and cheese which is out of this world. Our first time but we will return!

An oasis on a long road trip! After spending a week deep in the corn fields of Iowa surrounded by fried food, and then driving through pouring rain for hours, being able to sit down for some hot tea and good food was life affirming. I regret that we likely won't be back to the area much, but would definitely stop in at the Tin Roost again if we found ourselves driving through in the future. The staff was really nice, and the food was very good. Service was attentive without being annoying, and the fact they brought us the salad to start with while we waited for the soups and sandwiches meant that service never felt slow.

We had a large group of 14, with small children. They easily accommodated us, quickly got our drinks, and took our orders. The food was quite good. I had shrimp Chow Mein, which was very good. Everyone else enjoyed their food. My only minor complaint was the service was a bit slow, but I attribute that to the size of our group.

Neat restaurant. Family friendly, but also a good place to meet friends for a drink and a quick bite after work. Indoor and outdoor seating. Occasionally have live music or outdoor activities. Reasonably priced for a sit-down restaurant. Kids menu. The grilled chicken salad is amazing!
