Uncle Sang Sushi & Kitchen

Everything about this place is great! Even though it was crowded and we had to sit at the bar ( the seats were padded and had backs) we were served very quickly and efficiently. Our appetizer - crab rangoons - came within minutes. We ordered 4 different sushi rolls, and these came on sushi boats. Some of the best I've had. Everything tasted fresh.
The hard Cider on tap tasted better than the same Cider I've had from other establishments. My companion ordered the Saki and loved it. We spent over $95.00 so it is a bit pricey. But we took half of what we ordered home. Great presentation! Fantastic food! Great service!

It’s so nice to have a local sushi restaurant so you don’t have to travel to Coralville or Cedar Rapids. Food was fresh and delicious. Wait staff were very attentive, filling up drinks and asking if we needed anything. Will definitely go back!

We ordered a good deal and while some things fell a little below my expectations, the overall experience, service, atmosphere and taste hit all the marks. The food was fresh and I mean FRESH. The bento box was very filling and while the pork tonkatsu ran a bit saltier , it's still amazing. The only reason I went 4 stars was our tempura had a couple raw spots but the flavor was on point so I didn't mind. I can't wait to try their Vietnamese dishes next time as I feel like that's where they're gonna make me wish I had six stars to give. In short, give this place a shot! It's worth your time and an incredible value.

AMAZING sushi, creative mixed drinks, and just such a warm and inviting atmosphere on a very busy Friday night! Solon is lucky to have such a high quality, all around fantastic sushi spot in small town Iowa. Can’t recommend enough!

We came in to celebrate my husband's birthday last week. We knew the menu was going to be limited, as they just opened up, and were in the soft opening phase. Even with the smaller menu they did not disappoint! We basically ordered one of everything, even on the sushi menu. I was very excited when the pho came out - one of my favorite asian dishes! The broth was amazing!!! The cocktail we ordered was delicious-you could tell everything is made fresh and in-house. We are excited to come back when they have their expanded menu! Thank you for opening this in a quaint tiny, but mighty town in Iowa!
