Best views of the city. Food is pretty good. The plating was pretty flat. Drinks were a little pricey but you pay for the view. A bar like this in Chicago would be a lot more. Unfortunately, there is not much to look at except buildings and Quaker Oats.
My mom took me there for lunch. the place was on the 16th floor of the Doubletree Hotel downtown Cedar Rapids. The windows and The View where are incredible the staff was friendly. We both had that lunch special the $10 pick 2 plus a shooter desert. My mom had the chicken salad on a croissant with the tomato bisque and an apple pie shooter. I had the pork tenderloin the tomato bisque and a key lime shooter desert. We got there a little before 11 a.m. so it wasn't extremely busy our food came out quickly. It was good food but nothing exciting or particularly interesting to bring me back. If I have stayed at the hotel I would most likely eat there if I would travel. That would most likely not go back as a resident of Cedar Rapids
Great environment, definitely more upscale but not over the top. Food was very good. On the pricier side, but the food and service was in line with the prices. The coconut shrimp appetizer was really good, and the steak was also very good. Great service, and can't beat the views.
Stopped by with my sister for a glass of wine before going to a show at the us cellular center. Manny, the general manager waited on us. His mannerism left something to be desired, yes they were busy and the bartender that was working was running around being friendly and helping as many people as she could while, Manny took his sweet time and showed poor customer service and acted as if he didn’t want to even bother waiting on us or any other customer there.
They're probably a 3.5, but their cappuccino machine was broke for at least a month, so down to 3. The room service food was pretty good. My favorite dish, by far, is the Eggs Benedict for breakfast. I would definitely recommend that if you don't venture out of the hotel.
Once I ventured out for breakfast, I didn't come back though. It works if you're in a pinch or if there's a foot of snow on the ground and you don't want to have to go outside the hotel.
