I got the steak and cheese with a side of mac and cheese and a strawberry smoothie. The food was super good and the service was really good too. I think I paid a little over $18. I asked for it to be put in a to go box in case I couldn't finish it and ended up eating all of it before leaving because of how good it was. I am for sure coming back here again! I'm glad I decided to try out a place I had never been to in NewBo!

today was my first experience eating at the Caribbean Kitchen and I will definitely be coming back even though I live in Iowa City. I tried the Curry Chicken and it was delicious! I prefer more spice and hot sauce was available as an option. I am so happy that I discovered this! I was attending the Women's Art festival when I found this great eatery.

The food here is amazing. We order all the time and will continue to do so. My only complaint is the past two times we ordered the curry dish and the rice wasn’t cooked all the way through. And one time the roti was slightly burnt. I’m only writing this so the issues are fixed and others don’t experience this. I don’t mind waiting an extra few minutes for the food to be right. You don’t have to rush. The food is really good and worth the wait.

Great food and great service. Definitely on the short list of places I would recommend someone grab lunch at if they're downtown.
