Went for a birthday gathering. We had a variety of sushi which were all great and fresh and some of us got meals on the hibachi and were equally good and a nice show from the cook as well.would recommend. Price points from $5 sushi rolls up to $25 plus for surf and turf
This place is a great experience with great food. It's a hibachi restaurant so all of your food is cooked right in front of you and the cooks put on an entertaining show while preparing your food. I highly recommend it
As soon as you peruse the menu, a server delivers hot towels for you to wipe your hands. Shortly after, the salad arrived along with our appetizer. The restaurant was fairly empty at 5:30PM on a Tuesday but filled up shortly after. Diners were mainly couples so the restaurant remained fairly quiet. I ordered the salmon hibachi which came with garlic flavored rice, cooked mixed vegetables along with one of the hot pots. While in Iowa, I was too scared of ordering raw fish but a couple other tables did get some and it looked pretty decent.
Very friendly staff. But I really thought that this was a Japanese steakhouse with Japanese employees but everybody was Chinese with the exception of one Vietnamese. Oh well, I tried some foods I've never tried before and found out I'm not a sushi fan at all. The prices are a little high but we did get a lot of food. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal. I can highly recommend the salad with ginger sauce. The cooked salmon was also good. I did not care for the seaweed. I also did not care for the tuna sushi. Rice was good also. Nice atmosphere, next time we go I think we want to go to the Hibachi Grill side to experience that once!
I usually don't repeat restaurants when visiting a new city, however this restaurant is a good reason to break the rule. The food is delicious and the attention is polite and on time. not to mention that the way is organized gives a nice touch to enjoy. if you like Japanese food don't miss this place. Atmosphere was quiet. Had the Hibachi meals and the chef at our table, Taylor was his name, made it a very fun and pleasant experience.
