Ohana Poke Shop

This is a new find for me. It is on the outer edge of Marion in one of the newer stip malls. I saw it one day when I was driving by and thought I would give it a try. So a few days later, I went. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted by a young lady who was polite and nice. She asked a few questions to help us narrow down our choices. I got the Iowan bowl which has pork belly in it. She prepared our poke bowl quickly and efficiently. We both got regular size and found out that we could not finish it and ended up taking it home with us. The food was fresh, the pork belly cooked very well. The veggies has good crispness to them and the rice was cooked well. It was not crunchy and it was not overcooked. We both chose the white rice but they have brown rice and greens for the base if you want. You can pick from their preplanned bowls or you can create your own if you are feeling ducky for it. I would recommend this place for anyone that like fresh food and a bit of adventure. Some of the bowls have raw fish so just be aware. They do have vegetarian options and some pretty safe choices but also some choices that not everyone will jump on, such as the spam musugi, which I found that I liked mostly but probably wouldnt order every time I went. I would recommend this place as the food was fresh and well prepared, is different than most places and the people are friendly and polite. The price isnt too bad as we both ate twice off the regular size.

This place is delicious! If you love sushi in a bowl this should be your go to!! I ordered the hurricane poke bowl and it was amazing! You can also build your own bowl. Regular size bowl was a heaping serving. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Good poke bowl spot. Standard options, friendly staff, fresh taste.
Only downside is the quantity of protein you get. You don’t get a whole lot for the price you pay.

I was excited to try Ohana Poké Shop, and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the Ohana; the ingredients tasted very fresh. The portion size was very generous, my daughter helped herself to some and loved it too. The staff was helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

The owner and family immediately greeted us as we walked in the door, gave us menus, and talked us through the process of ordering.

The amount of options available was incredible. I’m pretty sure I could go every day for a year and get a different combination.

The staff quickly put together our bowls. The production area was very clean and bright.

The food. Holy moly it was delicious. Our kids (13 and 7) loved the pork belly and veggies. The adults had salmon, tuna, and pork belly…all incredibly fresh and perfectly marinated.

The seating for dine in is cozy. The artwork by the back door is phenomenal. The bathrooms both have changing tables and tile that matches the rest of the decor.

This restaurant is such a refreshing addition to Marion. Some may say there are similar restaurants in town, but I assure this is unique.
