    Pizza and onion rings were great! Beer was cold and a new frosty Mason jar with each new bottle, staff was very friendly and attentive, nice atmosphere, will be back!

    This is an old favorite. Always a great meal.
    Could have got 5* If I could get a bigger plate than my medium size saucer with the one trip salad bar.

    Drove here from Des Moines because I heard raving reviews about the pizza. It did not disappoint! I was planning on having some Casey’s pizza but took a leap of faith to try Checkerboard and I don’t regret the decision. Heather was a hoot and holler. Great food, great service and a super fun atmosphere/decor.
