Rumors on Main - Bar & Grill

Billy Boyz Food Review and tonight we head to Rumors Bar and Grill in Sutherland. Owned by Brant Ludwig Thanks to him for this invite.

These days people are looking for great places to eat and reasonable on the pocket book. And at the same time we are looking for great food and great service. Well look at the prices of the food on his menu. And at the same time you walk out full and ready for bed. Does Rumors do all of this? Heck yes! And at the same time you get to watch football games on all the awesome ? televisions. And who knows you might run into your neighbor or maybe your boss. Just a wonderful place to watch the big game and eat food and not hurt your pocketbook at the sametime.

So we got to Rumors and we all walked into a pretty full place. I always sanitize my hands anytime I go eat and enter the restaurant. My first thoughts of Rumors is always clean and knowing I can put money in the jukebox and listen to all my favorite tunes. I passed tonight because I felt everybody was visiting and having a good time. Our table had my name on it. And Cassie served our drinks quickly. Of course I took the root beer and it was delightful. Adam got Mr Pibb and Tami ordered a cherry Dr Pepper. And Cassie brought the menu's over quickly. I told her I'm going with the prime rib and order of all you can eat fish. And hashbrowns with cheese and onions. Adam ordered the fish sandwich and fries and Tami got the sirloin tips.

And with reasonable wait time we all received our food in good time with plenty of napkins. Cassie was polite and carried her smile well. Service was a awesome! When she put down my food my first thought was oh my gosh 10 years ago I would've downed all that food in no time. But older I get the harder it gets to eat so much. Call me old. I got the prime rib well done. And all I can eat fish. And I'm not a prime rib kind of guy. But this stuff was tender and so juicy. Perfect! The fish was simply the best and the fries were so perfect. I am reminded of when I was a kid and at the Back Bar in Aurelia I could order fries and pop for a dollar and still have money to play donkey kong.

The fries reminded of those days of the Back Bar. I told Cassie about this. And the fish is the best around. And if can prove me wrong I want to see amd taste how I am wrong. Good job on that fish Rumors. By the way I downed 2 mugs of beer. Root beer! So yummy. I want to add the seating in Rumors is plentiful and comfortable. And at the sametime you can play pool and darts before dinner or supper. We all agreed that our food was good and didn't take long to get to our tables into our mouths. You can tell people around northwest iowa love this place in small town Iowa.

So if you live in Cherokee or Ida Grove or maybe Holstein. You ask is it worth the trip? I can honestly tell you 100% yes! The prices are reasonable and the food is so delightful and the service will keep you satisfied to keep you coming back for more. I do urge you like me I always order the chicken. And they have awesome chicken ?! Try everything on the menu one night at a time. And make sure to order something cold to drink. Like the root beer or the cold beer ?!

So in conclusion they have a wonderful bar and grill in Sutherland Iowa. And it's so worth it! Prices are low and the food is great! And Cassie will make sure that everything is alright with your food and your visit to Rumors in Sutherland. I want to thank Brant for the invite and the great food tonight. It's nice when Brant is home i like talking to him about life and a simple hello. Brant is a busy man and he understands the restaurant business. Good job Brant and good job Cassie and the rest of the gang at Rumors in Sutherland. Friday night is all you can eat fish and the awesome prime rib.

Rumors has that home town feel when come in even if you aren't from town you feel like you are as you walk through the door. Plenty of beer and spirits accompany daily and evening specials on fridays. A tasty breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I eat here often and enjoy the good food and friendly service.
