It was amazing! Loved the food.. Fantastic atmosphere... Little loud when it gets busy... Really wish employees didn't have to wear masks... Love to see faces and smiles!!! Miss that customer service...

I frequent this restaurant for the ambience, great staff and absolutely outstanding entrees. My favorite dish is their wild mushroom toast. It's savory, filling without being excessive, and healthy to boot. Although not pictured here, the red snapper is also highly recommended. The combination of fresh fish and the outstanding pineapple salsa paired with the flavorful rice underneath is tops!
Whether for date night, cocktails with friends, a company gathering, or going solo just to enjoy the scenery, Roca should be on your downtown short list.

Great ambiance and vibe to the restaurant as a whole. Place was pretty busy and only a few 2 person tables were open at 6pm. I went and sat at the bar and got exceptional service from both bartenders. I got the fish tacos (cod) and truffle fries for dinner. The truffle fries were excellent with the perfect texture and taste. The fish tacos were superb and definitely worth getting. I got the special for desert which was a brownie with caramel, whipped cream, and salted pretzel pieces. Everything was excellent and worth a try if you are in town visiting or a local.

Everything from service to food was 6 stars for me. Although we did not have a reservation and sat at the bar we enjoyed excellent service and the food Was some of the best i have had not just in Des Moines, but in a while. Thanks guys and gals, great job.

We wandered by and thought it looked like a cozy, welcoming vibe and it was! The food was good and the service was great, even though they were very busy. Recommend reservations from the looks of things - we were lucky to get a table, but it filled up rather quickly.
