El Compita Mexican Restaurant Bar And Grill In Kimberly

First time trying this place and I would say it's in the top five best Mexican restaurants in the quad cities. This restaurant is a blend of Americanized and authentic Mexican food.

The food was fantastic. I got the Hawaiian fajitas and my wife got the shrimp enchiladas. I would definitely order that again but the menu is so large that I have to try something the next time we stop in. The chips and salsa which is a staple at all Mexican restaurants was great. The chips were thick, crispy and salty. The salsa was chunky and fresh. Five stars for the food. See video and pictures attached.

The service was equally as good. We stopped in on a Friday night and was able to get seated very quickly, we were greeted immediately when we sat down and did not have to wait for drinks. After we ordered, we waited maybe 8 to 10 minutes. Server checked on us. And could not ask for better service. The prices reflect the quality of the food and the portion sizes.

The Establishment is super nice and super clean with an awesome bar. The bathrooms are super clean, plenty of parking outside and overall a great experience.

I will definitely be back again to try more items off the menu and I would highly encourage anyone in the area to try this place out.

Really nice inside. Much bigger than I'd expected and not crowded at all. Our booth was roomy and comfortable. Food was delicious! I had the Pollo Loco and he had the California Burrito. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Our only issue was the air temp was 82 degrees where we were seated, near the kitchen. I was comfortable but he was too warm by the time we left.

Now...my most favorite & Authentic Mexican Restaurant of all. I live in Sterling, IL & the Mexican food choices are many. Your Restaurant has made a great impression on my taste buds & your customer service is hard to beat. The whole atmosphere there, was so welcoming that I didn't want to leave. Most of all....the Menu is over the top, high quality fresh everything. I enjoyed the Shrimp entree with other veggies in it, to put in a Tortilla & eat Heavenly recipes. Both mild & hot salsa were very addictive with the Chips. Also....the prices were very reasonable, so the whole combination will definitely bring me back. I'm anxious for my wife to visit your Restaurant with me.

Very amazing staff, they are so friendly and attentive. The food is pretty good. To be fair, the roasted jalapeño and onion was really good, the rice is good, the beans were ok for me. The tacos we had were pretty good. Salsa is ok, the spicy salsa is really good. Queso, pretty good too. Chips...ok. definitely will be back. Oh, and the margaritas were tasty.

Excellent first visit. This place is instantly going to the top handful of Mexican restaurant options in Davenport. Our carnitas and fiesta fajitas were very good with fairly large portions. The service was attentive and may have been overstaffed which is a rarity. We'll be back for sure.
