Not what it used to be. It was ok. Across the board..just ok. Probably not too excited to go back. Hope they get their stuff consolidated. Used to really enjoy the place.
The 3 staff members that worked on Monday , June 1st, were awesome! We arrived at 8:55 & they close at 9:00 pm. They graciously accepted us and prepared meals for the four of us. Thank you!
Decent meal. There was a sweet BBQ sauce and a spicy one. I could only really taste peppercorns no chilies in the hot one. Hit a a little warm on the spicy meter. I had the spicy snort? Brisket, egg, burger with fried jalapeños. The brisket was sliced had a smoke ring and had a nice flavor. The egg was done perfect. All around good.
Here is what I did not enjoy. Sauce. It could have used more sauce. The burger was advised as spicy. I had to hunt for the kick of spice. The burger was done, but it was like a sponge and had little taste. It was not grilled. It tasted like it was unseasoned and baked. A BBQ should be that... BBQ. A slight crust or grill marks on the burger to give the BBQ. The burger was done but had the consistency of a sponge.
Other than that it was a good meal and I would eat there again, but not in a rush to.
We tried this new venue tonight. We had a Pork Tenderloin sandwich and a Chicken Fried Steak, salads and fries. The Tenderloin was very good, as was the chicken fried steak. The fries were hot, nicely seasoned and served with ranch dressing. The dinner salads were of nice size and fresh. The soft drinks are self serve and their craft root beer is really good.
