Los Altos Mexican Restaurant

We've been going to Los Altos and enjoying it for years. Great food, good people and remarkably fast service. It's our go-to for Mexican food, and it's closer to home than many restaurants that could learn a few things from them..

Portions are extremely generous.

Very nice cozy environment, roomy and lots of menu choices. I went with the fajita chicken taco salad loaded with veggies and spicy shredded chicken, it was very good. My daughter had enchiladas rice and beans she said it had lots of flavor and was the best enchiladas she’s had in a long time thank you ????????

Fave local choice. Time commitment if eating main course vs appetizers though. Patio is popular for after-work drinks. Food pretty tasty and authentic.

The best fajitas I've ever had, hands down!
Visited this place while driving back from Des Moines and it seemed like the only restaurant we'd like to eat in compared to regular freeway restaurants. And I don't regret it at all!
The chicken fajitas were excellent and I could've kept eating more and more. The quantity is perfect as well. Their shrimp options aren't as awesome as the other chicken dishes. Even the beans were tasty and the food wasn't drizzled with cheese as some other restaurants like to do.
Service was a little slow owing to the weekend dinner time we were here for. But still, if I'm ever driving to or from Iowa, I'd definitely be visiting here again!
