Awesome. And totally unexpected!

From the outside it looks like a well maintained mom and pop quickie mart.

Even on the inside it looks like a typical convenience store, that is until you get to the kitchen.

REAL FOOD! Cooked by real people. You place an order, pay for your meal and they bring it to you. Not your typical fast food or convenience store food. It's GOOD food.

I had the tenderloin. Everyone in Iowa knows about tenderloins and has an opinion on the matter. In my opinion this is one of the best, not plate sized and miniscule in thickness. This was 1/2 plate sized, about 3/4" thick and very flavorful. You can actually taste the pork. The breading is also flavorful and crisp. It must be good, the guy next to me had a similar response and found the manager to compliment him on the sandwich.

Two ladies on the other side of me declared, "we've found a new hidden jem".

I could not agree more.

Congratulations to Filling Station for finding and filling a niche in the quickie mart market.

High end lunch was ok but pretty pricy. Service was friendly but my fried chicken seemed like it must have been sitting for a while under a heat lamp. The pork tenderloin sandwich that most other people ordered looked awesome, might have to come back and try that. Also, the craft root beer was excellent.

Got mac and cheese for a side and it almost made me cry...homemade taste just like my grammie would have made. The salad was amazing also.

I have never had a bad lunch from here. Tastes like your mom made it for you
